Personal Salvation During the Coming Economic Chaos – Part 4

Beginning with the creation of those wealth destroying entities called the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Income Tax—politicians, altruists, government bureaucrats and the establishment media have existed for one purpose—and one purpose only—to destroy the capitalistic system and “The American Way of Life.” And tragically they have succeeded quite well. As incredible as it might seem the voters have unwittingly supported them in their evil mission of destruction.

As I mentioned earlier “What you don’t learn through wisdom you learn through woe.” Sadly, wisdom is in extremely short supply. Woe is now the lot of the American people—the difficult times of economic chaos and personal despair. As the Bible states: “But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:11-12).” It pains me to acknowledge that this will be the nightmare of many during the coming economic chaos.

The Plans of Altruists and the Irrationally Selfish

Robert Burns said “The best laid plans of mice and men go oft astray.” Since the plans of altruists, politicians and government bureaucrats weren’t very well laid plans—in fact they were based on economic illusions—they had no chance of succeeding. And they have failed miserably—resulting in our current economic crisis and the coming economic chaos. Altruism isn’t a loving, giving philosophy. It is a cannibalistic philosophy of self-sacrifice. It is anti-life.

Unfortunately delusional people seldom give up their delusions. Everything government is doing to “alleviate” our current economic crisis will only worsen the situation. They are taking their illogic to its logical conclusion—total economic breakdown.

Sadly we have become a nation of the irrationally selfish. We want it now—regardless of whether we have produced or earned it. Most Americans demand immediate gratification. They fail to plan or save for the future. The establishment’s favorite economist John Maynard Keynes said “In long run we are all dead.” Even though he is dead—the rest of us are now reaping the terrible effects of his spurious economic theories. Government “thrives” by ignoring the long-run consequences of their policies—and the citizens live as if tomorrow never arrives. Irrational selfishness runs amuck.

Unhampered Capitalism and the Rationally Selfish

The rationally selfish individual supports the social system of unhampered capitalism. He knows that this is the only system based on logic, reason and sound economic principles. Since he or she is basically a benevolent individual—he or she desires value for value relationships that benefit all.

He would never support the predatory systems of socialism and government interventionism because he realizes that these systems extort value from the productive in order to give unearned benefits to the unproductive. He considers all government intervention in the economy as theft. He believes that the government’s only legitimate function is to protect an individual’s life, liberty and property. Some believe we can completely dispense with governments. Others hope and believe that someday the human race will evolve to the point where the “state” withers away.

Conclusion

If you are painfully aware that all government intervention on the marketplace is counter-productive and downright destructive. If you have decided that altruism and irrational selfishness is not in your best interest. And if you realize the rationally selfish life is the one for you—then you have no choice but to support the only system that is rational and logical—unhampered capitalism.

One more incentive for supporting unhampered capitalism. If you have children, if you desire for them to have the chance to embrace new opportunities, and to live a life of happiness and success— you must wholeheartedly embrace the social system of unhampered capitalism. Someday your children’s children’s children may thank you and their lucky stars.

In Part 5 I will discuss the next step the rationally selfish individual must take to guarantee his happiness and success.

Robert A. Meyer has been investigating and studying economics, philosophy, psychology and metaphysics for 30 years. He realizes there are basic principles of Human Action that will help you become successful. His knowledge that life is to be lived on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level allowed him to discover “The Libertarian Way.” He experiences its many pleasures and ecstasies on a daily basis. http://libertarianway.com/
